We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced Domestic Housekeeper / Household Assistant to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of a private residence. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and capable of efficiently managing household cleaning duties, laundry, meal preparation, cooking, and general household assistance.

The position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, flexibility, and the ability to maintain a comfortable, clean, and well-managed home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning & Maintenance:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors (hardwood, tile, carpet).
Dust furniture, shelves, baseboards, and decorative items.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of all areas of the home.

Kitchen Cleaning:

Clean countertops, cabinets, and appliances (inside and outside).
Wash dishes and maintain sink cleanliness.
Clean refrigerator, oven, and microwave.
Dispose of trash and maintain sanitation standards.
Keep kitchen cabinets, pantry, and food storage areas organized.

Meal Preparation & Cooking:

Prepare and cook daily meals for the family, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as required.
Plan and organize meals according to the family's preferences, dietary requirements, and instructions.
Prepare a variety of home-cooked meals using fresh ingredients.
Follow recipes and accommodate specific food preferences or dietary restrictions.
Assist with weekly meal planning and preparation of grocery shopping lists.
Monitor food inventory and communicate grocery and ingredient needs to the homeowner.
Properly store food, leftovers, and ingredients to maintain freshness and food safety.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen before, during, and after meal preparation.
Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
Prepare meals for family gatherings or special occasions when requested.

Bathroom Cleaning:

Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs.
Disinfect surfaces and restock toiletries if needed.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.

Laundry & Linen Care:

Wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing.
Change and make beds regularly.
Handle delicate fabrics with care.
Iron clothes if required.
Organize linens, towels, and laundry supplies.

Bedroom & Living Areas:

Make beds and organize bedrooms.
Maintain closets and assist with basic organization.
Keep living areas tidy and presentable.

Pet Care (if applicable):

Walk dogs as scheduled.
Clean pet areas and dispose of waste.
Assist with basic pet care, including providing food and water.

Additional Household Duties:

Take out trash and recycling.
Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages.
Perform deep cleaning tasks periodically.
Assist with special cleaning and household organization projects as needed.
Assist with grocery shopping and household errands when requested.
Maintain confidentiality and respect the family's privacy at all times.
Communicate any maintenance issues, damaged items, or household concerns to the homeowner.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in housekeeping, private household assistance, or a similar role preferred.
Previous experience in home cooking and daily meal preparation.
Ability to prepare a variety of meals and follow recipes.
Basic knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and proper food storage.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and follow instructions.
Trustworthy, respectful, punctual, and dependable.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a private household environment.
